Living a life of balance through meditation

Living a life of balance can mean many things. I believe meditation to be the first step to creating balance in your life.

Meditation has been descibed by some as a powerful tool in the process of self-recognition and mental transformation. Through the use of certain chants, mantras, visualizations, and breathing techniques amongst many others, meditation creates stillness and concentrates one’s awareness in the mind. On the surface, it is a relaxation method used to nurture inner peace and quiet the external world. It can be used by anyone, even those with limited cognitive ability, and is often used to increase creativity, promote self-awareness and help people live more spiritually oriented lives. On a deeper level, many regard mediation as one of the most vital practices on the road to spiritual enlightenment and freedom.

There are many other proven benefits accumulated from the art of meditation;

  • Quiets your mind to allow for creative thinking.
  • Centers your universe
  • Reduces stress
  • Slows the aging process
  • Promotes healing
Start with 15 minutes in the morning and 15 minutes in the evening, and eventually work up to 30 minutes per session.
The more we focus on self improvement the better we feel and the more we get out of life. My intentions with this blog is to help others while helping myself reach a higher level of being.
